Where to stay in Corfu, Greece summer 2019?
You’re single, ready to mingle, the crew is ready to pack the bags and have a carefree summer trip? But you’re not sure where to go? Corfu, Greece is on the table this upcoming summer, and you're not quite sure where to book your reservation? Don't worry. I got you on this!
Last summer, I was looking for that next exact trip, and I stumbled upon The Pink Palace hotel & hostel in Corfu, Greece. The Pink Palace is this super chic hotel & hostel with brightly colored pink walls, Greek decor all around, and vibes like no other.
Great for singles and solo travelers!
The Pink Palace is thriving with vibrant young travelers from all over the world. When my group and I were there, we met girls studying abroad, students taking gap years, and people just straight up on a one-way ticket solo traveling; it is the perfect atmosphere to meet new friends and mingle (trust me). I wouldn’t really recommend too many families here nor will you see too many, the Pink Palace is definitely a party hostel!
They know how to party!
The Pink Palace is what I would call a party hostel/hotel; they know how to keep a party going. With ridiculously cheap extra-strong drinks you and your crew will have many fun, unforgettable nights here. They also host their infamous toga party on certain nights where as you can imagine, the party goers get dressed up in togas and party!
It was such a good time. Also, be sure not to miss the booze cruise! We went in May, and the cruise didn't start until June. You go out to sea in their giant boat and party at sea! So upset I missed out on it. Or, you could choose to just grab a drink on the beach down by the hostel and relax with your friends and meet new people!
They offer ridiculously affordable activities!
The Pink Palace has many fun activities to partake in during your stay there. Their kayaking tours and ATV tours are among their most popular and well worth it. We did the ATV tour, and our guide was the coolest dude around town. He took us all around the island it feels like; now this wasn't a half-ass tour, we went ALL over the island.
We stopped at this super lovely beach spot to take pictures, and then he took us at the highest point on the island where we had this mesmerizing view of the island. Completely unforgettable experience that you NEED to create for yourself too!
They offer complimentary family style dinners!
Every night we stayed here, the Pink Palace had a team of chefs come and cook big Greek meals for all its guest, and it was incredibly delicious. It was really convenient because this saved a lot of money on food expenses while there. This was also the perfect opportunity to meet new faces and converse with new people throughout the trip.
Besides the Pink Palace, the island in itself is a total gem! It’s incredibly affordable to shop around and buy food without breaking the bank. I remember the guide showing us the old town of Corfu and we just got lost in the beautiful architecture.
Almost the majority of Corfu's populace speaks English, so the language barrier was slim to none there if you're not a native speaker. Let's talk about the weather too; it was a phenomenal 80-degree Fahrenheit or higher during the whole time which is a significant plus. The island is just incredibly aesthetic, and any person that admires nature and beautiful things will appreciate all it has to offer.
I hope this helps you decide whether or not to stay in Corfu, Greece this summer more specifically at the Pink Palace since I know my group and I enjoyed it SO much.
